AMI Migration

Madinda Utilities will manufacture, distribute and deploy a locally produced dlms/cosem compliant advanced metering infrastructure (AMI) while opening satellite plants across the country that will be installed in an SD & L outlook in an NRS49 standardization platform. The hardware will be supported by 21 years’ diagnostics experience in energy efficiency and demand-side management to curb the revenue collection losses of the distribution system. The hardware will be driven by cost-optimization solutions of an HES that is encoded with all 11 data intrusion cyber security standards encompassing all 36 IEC standards in metrology in a class 1 accuracy suite. The hardware and software will support the distribution centres country-wide that will train locals in energy efficiency for respective communities while taking advantage time-based tarrif opportunities like time of use TOU, energy efficiency and green energy harvesting technologies. The new metering hardware will be tested, packaged, stored, installed, maintained and administered by the jurisdictive local communities that will be migrating into the system through its procurement.
